Minecraft 1.8 has been Leaked!

The long awaited and highly anticipated Minecraft 1.8 Pre-Release has been leaked to the public. It was previously only available to a few beta testers. 1.8 adds a lot of new features including:

• New biomes with Rivers
• Creative Mod (Can’t die)
• Endermen!
• NPC Villages
• Abandoned Mineshafts
• Sprinting
• ..and a lot more!

Installation:

1. Close Minecraft.
2. Go to Minecraft.jar. You can find this in Windows at %appdata%/.minecraft/bin.
3. Copy your Minecraft.jar file and back it up somewhere else.
4. Move the newly downloaded 1.8 Minecraft.jar into the /.minecraft/bin folder.
5. Open up Minecraft and have fun!

You will need to generate new chunks to see the new features of 1.8. That means you should create a new world or explore new areas in current worlds. Because this is leaked, you can’t play online yet. And none of the  1.7.3 mods are compatible with 1.8.
