This Minecraft mod is undoubtedly the largest mod ever created. It adds an entire new dimension to the Minecraft world called the Aether. Along with the Aether this mod adds numerous additions to the game such as a newaccessory system, new blocks, new armor/weapons, new mobs, new dungeons, and much, much, more.

Aether mod 1.7.3 Minecraft mods

The Aether is the “antipole” of the Nether. While the Nether is a desolate, fiery place filled with Soulsand and Glowstone, the Aether is a network of floating plains and islands. This beautiful dimension is largely peaceful even at night. One day in the Aether is three days on the surface.



An Aether Portal is made out of a glowstone frame and activated with a bucket of water.

Mobs:

Minecraft hack Aether Modification

Once you reach the Aether, you will notice that there are new mobs that you probably do not recognize. The first will probably be the flying pigs. Flying pigs can be flown with a saddle without being tamed. They can only jump once. The second new mob is the Aerwhale. Aerwhales can be found flying the in the horizon during the day. They are completely harmless. When the sun goes down, you will meet Cockatrices. These creatures are one of the few dangerous mobs in the Aether, but only when attacked first. Cockatrices will shoot poisonous needles that deal huge damage. Aether mob mod 1.7.3

The next mob you will encounter is the Moa. These peaceful birds can be found in black, white, and blue. Wild Moas cannot be tamed, but they will drop eggs. These eggs can then be incubated with an Incubator Block with Ambrosium Torches for fuel. Once the eggs are incubated, the baby Moas can be fed Aechor Petals. They need a total of seven to grow up, but they can and will refuse the leaves. Once they are fully grown, they can be tamed by placing a saddle on their back. Unlike Flying Pigs, Moas can jump an unlimited amount of times and even jump in mid-air! Blue Moas are able to perform 3 mid-air jumps, White Moas 4, and Black Moas 8.



Dungeons:

The Aether features three different levels of dungeons each with unique loot that can’t be found anywhere else. These three levels are bronze, silver and gold. Each dungeon will have bosses that need to be defeated in order to get the loot. The blocks that make up the dungeons can’t be broken until the bosses are defeated.

Bronze Dungeon:



The bronze dungeon is the easiest and lowest form of dungeon in the Aether. But the treasure found in these is still very good. The bosses in these dungeons cannot be harmed using swords and projectiles. Instead, they must be defeated using a pickaxe.

Silver Dungeon:



Silver Dungeons are harder than Bronze Dungeons and thus hold better rewards. These temples are found in temples guarded by Valkyries. Valkyries are peaceful unless provoked. A fair warning though, not every chest is how it seems.

Gold Dungeons:



Gold Dungeons are the hardest to beat and hold some of the best items in the Aether Mod. These dungeons are found in floating hills with Golden Oaks on top. This boss cannot be killed with any item in the game. You need to figure out how to beat him once you meet him.

The Minecraft Aether Mod adds a whole new accessory system. This includes 8 entirely new slots that can be used to equip rings, pendants, gloves, capes, and more.

Known issues

- "Advanced OpenGL" option not supported by default (generates flickering).
- Optimine/Optifog will cause the water to disappear unless you switch to "fast" graphics. On the other side, the "Advanced OpenGL" option doesn't generate flickering with it.

Mod options

Some of the parameters of the cameras can be customized in the prop file of the mod.
To change these parameters, open the "mod_CCTV.props" file located in your .minecraft directory (to go there on windows, press windows+R and type in "%appdata%/.minecraft").
Edit the file with a text editor, here are the different parameters:

low_resolution: if set to 1, will decrease the definition of screens to 64*64 (default is 128*128).
camera_speed: number of frames skipped between two screen render.
depth_of_field=: number of blocks that camera view can reach.
custom_camera_width and height: One of the screens is actually a custom one, these parameters will allow you to change its size(in blocks).

Take the fd.class
and the gs.class only if you are using the experimental nano suit
(If you are using it, rename it to gs.class)
and put them, or just fd.class into minecraft.jar.

Installing is similar to a regular mod.
Unzip files and put them into minecraft.jar.


About Mod:
The Portals were modified so that an obsidian portal only goes to the Nether,
a Stone portal only goes to the surface,
and a Wool(any color) portal goes to the Sky Realm.
All portals are activated with fire.

Surface Portal: 126
Sky Portal: 127

The original portal is still present, but it is impossible to get naturally.
It should work as a normal portal.

Edit:
There is a slight bug with the sky realm portal generation.
Some portals are build floating in midair.
But they are still useful.

Windows:
1) Open up %appdata%, if you don't know how to do this, start>run, then type in %appdata%
2) Browse to .minecraft/bin
3) Open up minecraft.jar with WinRAR or 7zip.
4) Drag and drop the necessary files into the jar.
5) Delete the META-INF folder in the jar.
6) Run Minecraft, enjoy!


1) Go to Applications>Utilities and open terminal.
2) Type in the following, line by line:

Light Sensor Beta 1.7_01
The Light Sensor mod adds a new craftable block, that is a new input for redstone mechanisms. It turns on if it is hit with a 12 light levels. It is crafted with five redstone powder in a + shape, with four iron, one in each corner. Requires ModLoader Beta 1.7_01.

Elemental Arrows Beta 1.7.3
The Elemental Arrows mod adds four new types of arrows; explosive arrows, fire arrows, ice arrows, and a joke weapon, egg arrows.. They are crafted the same way as normal arrows, but the head is replaced based on the element; gunpowder for explosive, coal for fire, snowball for ice, and egg for, well, egg. Crafting an explosive arrow only gives you one arrow, and it explodes upon impact. Crafting a fire arrow gives you one arrow, that will ignite stuff upon impact. Crafting an ice arrow gives you one arrow, that will freeze water into ice, lava springs into obsidian, put out fire, and break torches. Egg arrows spawn chickens upon impact with the ground, but there's a secret too. Lightning arrows strike lightning where ever they hit, use diamond in recipe. Homing bow recipe is same layout as regular bow, but diamond instead of sticks. Requires ModLoader Beta 1.7.3.

This mod makes food stackable up to 16 in stack, saddles, doors, and signs up to 8 in a stack, minecarts and boats up to 4 in a stack. When stacked, food and buckets are unusable, however, everything else is. This is great for storage and for using workbenches, chests, or furnaces, as you no longer consume your food! Sign Tags Beta 1.7.3
Type [time] into a sign, and it will show the current time. You can also type [x], [y], or [z] and find the current position of the sign in regards to that axis. [a|b] is a redstone input function for signs, where text replacing 'a' will be shown when the sign is powered, otherwise 'b' is shown. Type [light], and it will show you the current light level of the sign's position. [biome], [temp], [humid] each tell you the biome you're in, the temperature of that area, and the humidity of that area, respectively. [temp], [humid] will no longer function in Nether. [chunk] will tell you where to find the chunk file for this chunk.

Death Chest Beta 1.7_01
When you die, if you have a chest in your inventory, it will be placed where you die, or in the closest available spot. The chest will be filled with as many items as possible. Items stored in the crafting slot are still lost, as usual, and any excess that won't fit in the chest will be dropped.

AudioMod Beta 1.7_01
AudioMod is an upgrade of sorts, and a modder's utility. Included in this mod is CodecIBXM, created by Paul atwww.paulscode.com, who is the creator of the sound system used in Minecraft. It allows Minecraft to play (in addition to ogg, wav, and mus files), xm, s3m, and mod files. The only readily available feature of this mod is the ability to add new music, however, it adds support for modders to add new records and sound effects. There is a slight increase in load time when using this mod. Using this, you can also use custom sounds, alongside the originals. Custom music and sound goes into the resources folder, music in mod/music. Custom sounds go into mod/sound. For example, if I were to add a new footstep sound effect to stone, I'd put the new stone1.ogg in mod/sound/step. In game, the new sound would occasionally be played, alongside the originals. Custom sounds for things like the menu click and water do not always work, at the moment.

Floodgate Beta 1.7.3
Floodgate block can be used as either a floodgate, allowing toggleable water and lava falls, or as a trapdoor. When you place the floodgate control block, it will place a gate in front of the control block in the direction you are facing. Applying redstone power to this will remove the gate. Use the control block to open the GUI where you can place supporting blocks that will replace how the gate looks. Requires ModLoader Beta 1.7.3.

Spawner GUI Beta 1.7_01
Adds a GUI to all mob spawners, that will allow you to pick what mob to spawn. I also reallowed mining spawners. You can disable spawners with redstone aswell. Should be compatible with all mobs, but don't expect the mobs with special spawn conditions to work everywhere. Animals require grass, Monsters require darkness, Slimes require being in their special chunks, and 0-16 depth. Requires ModLoader Beta 1.7_01.

Block Distortion Beta 1.7_01
This mod is just an experiment. Everything that is 3D (Mostly noticeable on blocks) has a random distortion. Known issues include: Clouds randomize as they move across the sky, held items look rather odd, and GUI elements may be screwed up. I don't recommend using this mod long.

Biosphere Beta 1.7_01
This is a new generator. It replaces the surface generator. In this generator, the world is made up of massive spheres with glass domes. Inside these spheres are random biomes. There is a random chance of a lake being placed in the center of each sphere. Usually water, but rarely lava. Bordering this lake you will find sand for water, or gravel for lava. Connecting each sphere is a wooden bridge with fence rail. Beside each sphere is a smaller sphere, which is where you will find diamond and lapis lazuli. These ores only occur here, the others are equally spread throughout the spheres. The cave generator used here is a modified Nether cave generator, where like on the surface, will generate lava below a certain level. if this lava reaches the outside, an obsidian wall will be made to hold it in. Many options can be changed in ".minecraft/config/Biosphere.cfg".

Armor Stand Beta 1.7.3
This block will give you a place to show off your armor. Just place the block and right click on the platform. You can choose from a selection of skins to hold your armor, as well as have it stare at you, constantly. You may also change the texture of platform by putting block in the last slot. Known issues include: placing a block inside of dummy, standing on its head, possible inability for mobs to path around it. Recipe is 3 solid stone blocks along bottom, with 2 sticks in the middle.

The weapons:
A spear
A spear to hunt a cow! It does less damage than a sword and has a small knockback.
You can now also throw them! The spear will not dissapear after hitting a mob, and deals the same damage as when you stab with it.

A halberd to smash a creeper in the face! It does more damage than a sword and has a big knockback.

A knife
A knife to stab a spider! It does less damage than a sword and has half the durability, but is crafted with very
few recources and can be crafted without a workbench. The knockback is small.
Like the spear, you can now also throw them! Same thing as the spear.

A battle axe
A battle axe to shave a sheep with style! Does much damage and has a huge knockback.
Does also more damage to blocks.

A warhammer
A warhammer to squeeze a slime! Does as much damage en has the same knockback as the halberd, but does huge damage to blocks, depending on the weapon material.

Golden weapons all do a little more knockback.

A javelin
A javelin to throw at chickens! You can throw it to right click while holding it. It does the more damage than arrows, but goes less far and has a large deviation. You don't need feathers to craft them, or a bow to shoot them.

Don't mistake them for iron or stone spears.

A musket
A musket to shoot back at skeletons! The use is the same as a bow and arrow. The musket uses musket rounds to shoot and these do very much damage. You can also attach a bayonet to it, so you can stab opponents too. You can only shoot a limited amount of musket rounds, then the musket will break.
After you shot the round you need about 2 seconds of reload time. Crouching allows you to decrease the deviation.
The musket is crafted with a wooden part and an iron part.

A crossbow
A crossbow to shoot a pig from distance! Shoots further than a bow, and with a small deviation,
but it has a reload time. Shoots crossbow bolts. Crouching allows you to decrease the deviation.

A blowgun
A blowgun to poison a sheep. Shoots fast and accurate. Has a small reload time. It shoots blowgun darts, which are poisonous. This means that when you hit a mob, he becomes ill. If a mob is ill, he will get random damage over time, and has a small chance to heal from the illness. When poisoned the mob will walk much slower too. There will also be smoke around him, so you can easily see which mob is poisoned.
If you hit the mob multiple times, the chance of healing is smaller and the amount of smoke larger.
The dart itself doesn't do much damage.

Throwable dynamite
Not just ordinary TNT! Right click to light it! It will take a few seconds before it extinguishes.
Right click again to throw it. Because of this you can decide how long it takes before detonation.
The explosion power is half the power of TNT.

A flail
A flail to swing at pigmen!
Right click to throw it. If the ball is too far away it will return immediately.
It will also return if you hit a mob. If the ball got stuck in the ground, right click to retreive it.
